"Listen & Love"

The following passages show two powerful themes: listening to and loving God. Through the words of spoken to the children of Israel in Deuteronomy 6:3-6, we are given instructions on how to listen to God and love Him.

"3 Hear, Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you.4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.

5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts."

It is truly important to listen to God and love Him with all you heart, soul and strength. Continue to love Him, even when everything around you wants you to abandon Him. I urge you today to stay close to the One who first loved us. James 4:8 tells us that God is with you when you are with Him. Further still, Hebrews 10:38 states that "if any man draws back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him."

Joshua 23:12 & 13 Be careful, my friends. In God gave the Israelites a picture of what it would look like if the ceased to love Him, if they disobeyed Him, if they abandoned him. These words are stated in the Bible. Be careful my friends.

"12 “But if you turn away and ally yourselves with the survivors of these nations that remain among you and if you intermarry with them and associate with them, 13 then you may be sure that the Lord your God will no longer drive out these nations before you. Instead, they will become snares and traps for you, whips on your backs and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from this good land, which the Lord your God has given you."

There is reason to love God with all your strength. 2 Chronicles 15:7 says "But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”

Today is your day to LISTEN and LOVE God. Today is your day to ‘’REPENT’’ and be ‘’SAVED’’ We have no idea when the Lord our God shall return.

Peace and Love in Jesus.
